SPECIAL THOUGHTS
PSALMS 23 - FOR THE WORK PLACE He gives me peace, when chaos is all around me. He gently reminds me to pray and do all things without murmuring and complaining. He reminds me that He is my source and not my job. He restores my sanity every day and guides my decisions that I might honor Him in all that I do. Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mails, system crashes, unrealistic deadlines, He raises me up, even when they fail to promote me. He claims me as His own, even when the company threatens to let me go. His faithfulness and love is better than any bonus check. His retirement plan beats any 401K there is! When it's all said and done, I'll be working for Him a whole lot longer and for that, I BLESS HIS NAME! When I say that "I am a Christian," I am not shouting that "I am clean living." The Lord is my real boss; I shall not want.
budget cutbacks, gossiping co-workers, discriminating supervisors and an aging body that doesn't cooperate every morning,
I still will not stop, for He is with me. His presence, His peace, and His power will see me through.

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN PEOPLE
I'm whispering "I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say "I am a Christian," I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say "I am a Christian," I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say "I am a Christian," I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say "I am a Christian," I'm not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.
When I say "I am a Christian,'' I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say "I am a Christian," I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

Today before you say an unkind word -- Think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food -- Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife -- Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.
Today before you complain about life -- Think of someone who went too early to the grave.
Before whining about the distance you drive -- Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job -- Think of the unemployment, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down -- Put a smile on your face and think; you're alive and still around.

OH, GOD FORGIVE ME WHEN I WHINE
Today upon a bus, I saw
A lovely maid with golden hair;
I envied her -- she seemed so gay --
And oh, I wished I were so fair.
And suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle;
She had one foot and wore a crutch,
But as she passed, a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine;
I have two feet -- the world is mine.
And when I stopped to buy some sweets,
The lad who served me had such charm.
He seemed to radiate good cheer,
His manner was so kind and warm.
I said, "It's nice to deal with you,
Such courtesy I seldom find."
He turned and said, "Oh, thank you, sir!"
And then I saw that he was blind.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine,
I have two eyes -- the world is mine.
I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play;
It seemed he knew not what to do.
I stopped a moment, then I said;
"Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word,
And then I knew, he could not hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine;
I have two ears -- the world is mine!
With eyes to see the sunset's glow,
With ears to hear what I would know;
I'm blessed indeed, the world is mine.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
